Smart from the Start (Smart) is a trauma-informed, multi-generational family support and community engagement organization with a mission to promote the healthy development of  young children and families living in the most underserved communities of Boston and Washington, DC. 

Wayside offers a wide array of services for children, young adults and families. Services include - couseling, trauma intervention, residential (day and educational), young adults 17-24, communty and education outreach, and care coordination.

Programs include - Emergency diapers and resources for families, resident civic education and engagment, leadership training for grassroots activists, community organizing around voting rights, affordable housing, and more.

St. Mary’s Center, a multi-service organization supporting women and families, believes shelter is not enough to erase the devastation of cyclical poverty and homelessness.

Boston’s Christmas in the City runs non-denominational holiday events for children and families experiencing homelessness and poverty, and throughout the year is always on the lookout for ways to help those in need. The heart of Christmas in the City – and its roots – is with the annual party for families experiencing homelessness.

For almost three decades, Mission of Deeds has assisted individuals and families in need. If you need beds, furniture, basic kitchen essentials, and other household items and would like assistance from us, you must first reach out to a referral agency.

Family Nurturing Center offers free programs for families in low income neighborhoods to help parents and caregivers improve their parenting skills and enhance the cognitive and social development of their children

Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities.

The TLC provides a safe, caring, and welcoming environment with an array of programming geared toward improving the wellbeing of individuals and families in our community.

Children Services of Roxbury provides culturally competent wraparound programs for children and families that include behavioral health, early education, family shelter, foster care & family support services, and youth development.
